Apline 9 speaker system playback settings

So far the Alpine system has been great. However, I continue to play with the Equalizer settings to try and get the right sound. I listen to a lot of Hip/Hop, R&B, and Top 40. Any suggestions on best settings for this? Also, do you set the Speed Adjusted Volume?

I use +4 Bass, +2 Mid and +5 Treb
I also run the speed adjust at 2

For me these setting are perfect for almost all music types, and I listen to them all!

Everyone hears differently so someone else's settings are going to be hit and miss. Try this, don't think of your mid adjustment as sound, think of it as height. Adjust your mid up and down until the height of the music sounds good to you. Then adjust your treble to what sounds good and then fill in with the bass.

This is excellent advice. I never really understood MID..... LoL
