Hey guys.

I’m looking to get a new set up with my ‘22 Laramie. Is anyone currently using 18x9 Fuel Covert rims? Was it able to balance without hitting the calipers?

They'll need to install hammer on weights on the inside lip/bead of the wheel or you'll need to grind down your front calipers if they install stick on weights when balanced.

Thanks for your input.

Will hammer on weights damage the wheels?
It's going to remove some paint/finish when they install them on the wheel. You won't see it until you have them rebalanced. If you live where they use salt on the road it will eventually work it's way under the paint/finish and start peeling probably.

Fuel Covert 18x9. I take it to a custom wheel shop, they said clearance is very tight but worked. Am on third set of tires, OEM GY, Toyo Open Country AT3, and now Falken Wildpeak AT3W. All worked, but from what I remember they used low profile weights to balance.

I did have issues when I took it to regular tire shop on weekend, they used regular weights and I could hear it tick when driving away. Went back and they could not fix. Custom shop fixed it on Monday for $200 extra. My advice, find a good shop :)
