Im curious if anyone is running a oil bypass filter on the ecodiesel and if so which one been looking at the amsoil one but it takes a lot of extra configuration vs insane diesel which is over priced in my opinion

I considered adding one as well but chose against it; at least not while under warranty. Maybe prices will come down on options by then.

In the meantime, I'd suggest changing your oil every 5-6K miles at most instead of the 10K suggested by the book. Besides, the complicated emissions system will likely sideline your truck at some point sooner than the engine itself would need a rebuild, so a bypass filter won't buy you much additional engine life (if at all).

Use a high-quality full synth diesel-rated oil, change regularly and motor on.

BTW, there is a forum dedicated to EcoD's that I suggest you look up: RAM 1500 EcoDiesel 3rd Gen General Discussion A lot more diesel owners there, including some who do have bypass filtration setups.
