Getting my '25 Limited closer to my end goal. JB4 and AWE exhaust so far.
Probably a Cervinis Ram Air hood later to give max airflow for the K&N (bought but high IAT) or SB.

Question is, is it safe to run E30 with the stock fuel system?
Would I need a new LP/HP FP or anything like that?
Anyone successfully running E30? JB4?

I'm in California BTW so our gas already sucks.
I mix 91 and E85 in my '22 BMW M340i and that doesn't have any issues.

Thanks!

If the JB4 has a tune for E30, sure. Otherwise, the PCM isn't calibrated for that high of ethanol content and may run lean, which isn't food.

If the vehicle isn't tuned for it you'll have more issues than fuel system compatibility. The fuel system will be the least of your concerns may be a better way of wording it. All ethanol fuels have a lower output than 87/89/93 fuels, you need more of it to maintain a safe AFR.

I'm jealous as I have the JB4 but not the exhaust. Mine's a lease so I can't modify the exhaust -- hopefully they'll put a better exhaust for my next lease.

E30 carries an equivalent octane rating as 93 or 94, but with lower energy density it requires more fuel volume.

This OP’s question whether the fuel system is up to task of 15%+ fuel demands for a given load.

And to that it’s still early days for the Hurricane and I haven’t seen anything here definitive as to the stock fuel system limits.

So inching up and monitoring fuel pressures demand vs actual is really the only way to play it safe.

Whether there is any power benefit to running e30 my guess is there will be some on stock tune, but much more with a proper jb4 tune. All depends on how much stock ecm will advance timing, but I bet it is designed to leverage all the way up to 93 at least.

Again, haven’t seen anything definitive, but it’s also not my scene so I haven’t been looking under every rock for info.

You can definitely put on a an exhaust on a lease. Who said you couldn't?
