Anyone opt for the bench seat in the front instead of captain chairs?

Pros and cons to both. If I ever go back to a single cab basic truck, I'll probably opt for the bench seats. Just depends on the make/model.

Ok, I wasn't sure if the bench seat was an outdated concept as you rarely find any at the dealership but it appears others feel the same way as I and prefer the bench seat.
Good, was feeling like the odd man out.

My "19" Laramie has the bench seat and it's also a light colored interior (Mountain Brown/Light frost beige), also with the so called long box 6'4" so it is quite the unicorn. I'm somewhat looking for a newer truck and going to a 2500 with the same options. It is just about impossible to find one.

Editted to add; yes I am a fan of the bench seat as the bucket seat center console gets in the way of my knee and creates a sore spot on long drives.

Just an example of a con for 2025 bench seat (if you haven't read the earlier posts I'm generally a fan and have had 2 trucks I ordered with the bench). Models equipped with the smartphone as a key feature require the bucket seats - i.e. if my 25 Laramie Level 2 had the bench I would not have smartphone as a key like I do with the bucket seats.

I don’t have any cd player under the seat, just another storage area. Thanks for telling me about it. I have 80k miles 😄 Should I look for a cd player? Anyone got a pic?

Ill go out and take a pic in a few minutes, but you would know you have a cd player somewhere if you have one listed in on your radio inputs.

Under the seat, inside the storage bin is the CD Player.
