Anyone know what this is?

Marked by the red arrow in the photo this is in the wiring harness for the side mirrors. Is it a sensor of some kind? If so what kind of sensor is it and where does it mount? I as swapping tow mirrors to standard on a 2020 1500 and the tow mirrors do not have this. I do not know what trim the standard mirrors came off of, installing on a Laramie. Thanks

I don't know what that specific wire is for, but the outside thermometer sensor is located in the driver's side mirror. Might be for that, especially if the passenger side mirror doesn't have it.

It does have a camera so I can just ignore that then...thanks very much.
