Just wondering what it takes to break the tires loose ? I got the 3.92 gears & 5.7 Hemi with etorque. I hit the gas pretty hard a couple times yesterday & left everyone in my dust. She reved up to around 5200 RPM. She moves fast for a truck. Just wondering what I got to do to burn some rubber? Also do you'll think it's bad for your motor to take off that fast every once in a while? I normally drive pretty nice, but it's fun to see what the Hemi is capable of, every once in a while.

Nothing wrong with some spirited driving every once and a while. You may need to do a bit of brake torquing to get the tires to break loose, but if you want to go fast SPINNING AINT WINNING, unless of course your drifting which I’d love to see in a full size truck.

So in dry conditions you most likely need to be in 2 wheel mode with traction control off to keep the nannies from interfering.

As far as durability, a motor that is sufficiently warmed up and lubricated should be able to reach all RPM levels without fear of damage. Keep in mind the rest of the truck and the parts associated with these runs might degrade faster (as in your tires will take more wear).

Before my tires broke in I was always ripping them loose. Not so much now unless it's a crosswalk or wet.

If you really want to ruin your tires pull fuse F26. It disables the traction and stability control, as well as ABS so be careful. If you find yourself saying, "watch this!", be prepared to call your insurance company and a tow truck

I’ve done it accidentally by hitting the gas a little too hard coming out of start/stop mode!

I got a Vitesse and turned traction control off. Spun through first and second gear with no brakes on a 33x12.50 mud tire. Great $150 upgrade imo. And that was starting around 8mph.

Push ESC off and it will allow for a partial wheel spin. Push and hold it off for 5 seconds and you can do a burnout.

With current mods I can get the tires spinning with traction control off and no braking. Also with elocker engaged - no one likes the One Wheel Peel! haha

The amount of times I launched my Titan getting my tunes dialed in... Spirited driving "every once in a while" isn't even enough to consider. Now, if you're brake torquing and just burning out your brakes that's a different matter, but I had several hundred 0-60 and 0-100 launches in my Titan. Most of those when it was over 100k miles, and it ran better when I traded it than when I bought it new.

I've heard of the Core 4x4 control arms helping. Did you replace all of them or just the lower? I get wheel hop with just one wheel spinning turning from a stop. Quite annoying and cant be good for the differential.

I must be getting old, since I have not tried to break the tires loose. I have had them break loose on a full throttle downshift a couple times. When you hit the right speed and get it to kick down just right, it’s pretty impressive.

I didn’t realize not being able to spin the tires was a issue. Lol
Mine does it all the time, not even purposely trying to. I couldn’t imagine turning things off and making a point of putting it to the floor.

I hear you, if I’m doing 30 through the small town I live in and the light goes yellow I can smash the loud pedal and make the traction control really mad going through the light lol
