Anyone else order wheels And tires from Costco?

I'm trying to coordinate new winter tires and rims (wheels). You can order both from the Costco website. But the site says the tires ship to the Costco tire center (great) but the wheels ship to your house (why).

I want to get them both shipped to the Costco store, make an appointment and show up for the swap.

Anyone else out there that has done this? I've been calling the store for a few days now and no one has picked up.

Issue with Costco and Sams Club....is that they are very picky about what size tire they will put on a car. Each store may be a little different, but in general their policy is that they will only install OE size tires and wheels. I've tried to get my Costco to do an oversize tire and they wouldn't. I just talked to Sams last week. One store I was at told me I could bring in my new wheels and have them put tires on, no problem. But I didn't really believe it so I called another store and they said they would not install tires that were a larger than what came on my truck. They actually have no clue, and you might get them to do it anyway... but it's a crap shoot who is on the job that day. Not worth the hassle. And all of that is IF you can find a good tire. Costco selection isn't good anyway.

FWIW, the best deal going right now is at the Dodge dealers. Buy 3 get one for $1 (with install of course) through end of Nov. I'm getting a set next week when my wheels get here.

I've had really good luck with discount tire. They are usually cheaper than Costco, Sams or the dealer and will price match. They have a huge selection and will do different sizes etc.
