when I purchased the truck it was still in the back of the lot wrapped in protective film. After bringing the truck home I had a company call me every few weeks saying I had a dealer option included with my track that they needed to install and activate that would allow me to track the car and report it stollen. I never brought the truck back.
Is this the same service?
I have not payed for any service so is this thing active?

Most likely that is the case, it is easily removed. It's usally plugged into the OBD port

Dealership scam. Read about it. Get rid of it. Dump it on the sales manager's desk and walk out.
