That almost looks like seat trim piping. Does it have copper inner material?

No, it’s completely terminated at the end that sticks out.

It appears to be the trim piping... it’s gonna be a lot of fun getting that back in

That should probably be warranty work. I'd let the dealer sort that one out!

If it is indeed trim piping, don't just let the dealer cut it off. The dealer may have to order new seat upholstery if that piping belongs somewhere.
