Any benefit to PPF chrome grill/bumper?

Does anyone have experience with the chrome front grill and bumpers and if PPF would stick/would be needed?

Since it's just chrome plating on plastic it seems there is still risk for stone chips but I have no idea if the film would stick or how it would look. Any members with experience please share, thank you!

You can chip anything with enough force, but the bumper is probably OK. The grille, however, may not stand up to chips. See my previous post about chips in my Limited grille:

My PPF installer said that he’s done chrome accent pieces before, but it looks bad (hazy/foggy) to do PPF on larger chrome surfaces.
