Android Auto wireless connection and no WiFi icon

Hey guys

I have a new to me 2020 RAM Sport (canadian). From what I have read, there is supposed to be a WiFi icon in my uConnect, and there is not.

I have been trying to figure out how to connect to Android Auto wirelessly and cant seem to. I can connect wired and I can connect using a a Motorola Wireless adapter. I know this head unit is capable of stand alone wireless connection...I just cant figure it out.

Also, there is no Android Auto icon in my app tray, until the phone is connected via wire.

I searched the forums and found another person who was having the same issue, I followed his steps and no joy.

I know mine is a 2025 but still worth checking. At the top of the screen there is a little circle with an editable logo (avatar I think they call it) and next to it is another one you can set to what you want. touch it and see if the Bluetooth or wifi option appears.

You cannot connect Android or Apple wireless in Uconnect 4. That functionality is non-existent. Use an external device to do it. The only wireless you have is using it as a hotspot. And last I heard is that is broken anyway.

I have Uconnect 4 in my 19 Challenger. Bought a wireless adapter from Amazon.
I just keep it connected in the center console. Works every time.

I guess I assumed that because it is the 12" screen, it was a Uconnect 5. I checked the monroney sticker, and it is a 4C....question solved!
