Been having issues with my android auto connection for about 3 years. It would hardly ever connect. Multiple trips to the dealer, star cases opened,. Always blamed it on phone or cables even though same phone and cable worked in other cars, replaced media hub on my own and would have replaced module if I knew it was the issue. Noticed the module had a mini usb connection on back of module and 2 on rear of media hub(suspected 1 goes to module and 1 goes to rear hub). Anyway decided to experiment and purchase mini usb to usb-c cable and tried going directly to cell phone. This didn't work so then I got a mini to mini cable and went from module to media hub(outside mini usb on rear of hub) and now my android auto is finally working. Pisses me off dealer couldn't or wouldn't fix issue and that it took me so long to try to experiment on my own. Moral of the story it's not always the media hub and could be crappy, or intermittent oem cable in factory harness. Easy enough to try, cable is only $10 on Amazon.
