I tried searching, and found similar complaints, but nothing exactly like what I am seeing.
I have noticed that my audio is not coming through when I have my phone plugged in, and am using Android Auto and Waze.
Specifically, when using Waze, and it's giving me a direction, it will mute whatever I'm listening to on the radio, but there is no audio from Waze.
My wife plugged in her iPhone (we were on a trip), and was experiencing essentially the same thing.
Her phone works fine in her other vehicles. (Waze audio comes through just fine, in her '18 Jeep JL and her Honda Odyssey.)
Of course I tried different cables, and USB sockets, but nothing changed. I also have not tried a reset, beyond powering off and back on.
I should add that I have a couple of different iPods (an old Nano and a Touch) both of which work fine, when plugged in.
My truck is a 2019 Bighorn Sport. 8.4 non-nav. (I'm assuming it's just the "base" system. It's not really "all that", in any way shape or form.
