What are the ohms of the dash speakers on the Alpine system? Is it 2?
Getting ready to do an audio upgrade.

TIA!!

Never mind, after some research I see they are 2 ohm.

So, whats a good 2 ohm 3.5 replacement?

Everyone including myself have been using infinity reference 3.5’s.

I just did mine. Used infinity ref 3032cfx (3 ohm)for dash 3. Doors put infinity kappa 93ix 2.5 ohm 6x9. Rear doors unchanged, but front doors bypassed built in inductor because it only receives low pass from alpine amp anyway. These have bass response down to 35hz compared with most at 40hz+. And it made a difference. 1/4" spacers required, some light trimming on door plastic. I didn't want to get into adding amp & required. Make sure whatever you use the lowest ohm you can get. Ebay or Amazon cheapest.

Thanks for the info guys!
I'm going to do some checking and see what I can find in 3.5 @ 2 ohm.

Did the 3 ohm speakers have less volume since they are drawing less power?
Were the differences in sound enough to warrant the cost and time replacing them?

Not noticeable. I think the improvement in quality and range more than made up for any slight loss. But I wouldn't risk using 4 ohm if they (infinity) are figuring on 1 ohm loss in the crappy thin wires.
