I just installed the oem trailer brake controller in my 2019 bighorn. I'm interested in turning it on using the alphaobd. I have seen a few threads on here about alphaobd but was just wondering what I need to get started. I already have a obdlink mx+. From what I understand I need a security gate bypass? Just wondering what everyone is using and if there is anything else I would need other than the software.

You’ll need the security gateway bypass, and either an Android or Windows device to run the software. I used the bypass from Infotainment, but I believe there are others out there. Also picked up a cheap tablet on Amazon just to use with the truck and Jeep since all my other stuff is Apple now.

Is this the right security gateway bypass. I have a note 9 which is what I would probably use for it. Have you had any trouble out of the software and would this void warranty?
