I am really torn right now between the OEM LED headlights and the Alpharex Luxx series headlights. Difference in cost is only about $225 but then spend another $175 on the harness. In the grand scheme of things the $400 isn’t much but that money could also be put towards a taillight upgrade that I want to do.

So my question would be for those of you that have the Alpharex are you still happy with your purchase or do you wish you went a different route? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I installed the Alpharex Luxx Series headlights approximately 2 weeks ago. I’m still happy with my purchase.

Just switched from morimoto to these OEM led night edition headlights.

Lots of mixed results when Morimoto released their headlights for the 4th gens. They try to stand behind their product, but the rate of failure seemed pretty high for a long while. Their fog lights and smaller lights seem to have better reliability.

I haven’t seen a lot of Alpharex long term reviews, and I’m not saying OEM is perfect, but the reliability of OEM headlights versus aftermarket almost always favors OEM. (Not talking about off road lighting in this instance, just headlights.)

Nice. Are you happy with them so far? Where did you purchase them from? On another note are your fogs diode dynamics?
Yes sir. So far so good. I do miss the very nice cut off from the morimoto headlights and the overall look of them but I do like these as well.
Fogs are diode dynamics SS3 sports. I love them.

How is the light outpu? I hear they have a better cutoff than OEM, but I guess that should be expected since they are projector and OEM is reflector.

Having this same internal argument with myself right now…. Accessory Parts (forum member) has given me a great quote on OEM LEDs to replace my stock halogens, but, I really wanted projectors, which aren’t an option OEM for my Bighorn. So, I have to give up the projectors for the guaranteed quality of OEM, or pick between the Morimoto XBs / Alpharex Nova. I like the DRL’s significantly better on the Rex, but the overall look of the Morimoto more (And the install seems easier).

First world problems for sure!

I agree Andrew and Dennis definitely provide great pricing, now if I can just make up my mind

You said you wanted projectors, are you talking HID's? Do I take it that the OEM headlights you are looking at are LED's?

The OEM LED’s are reflector unless you have a limited then they are projector.
