Air ride suspension

Is there a way to disable the lift. For example if I got to the 2in level and then it wouldn't lower back down to normal/aero? If not I heard BDS kit is good and I might look into that to give some lift. Friend got a 4in lift rough country done by the dealer. He said the ride is still great. I'd like to not lift I don't need to.

Would the ride not be overly stiff for the highway in the OR2 setting?
