Just bought 2019 long horn (new body style). Need to install Tekonsha P3 electric brake controller from old truck. Where can I locate it on/under dash to avoid air bag/knee bolster conflicts?

Thx. Is it mounted to the knee bolster plastic cover or something behind it.
i frankly don’ know if the Bolster cover comes off in an accident or if it stays attached. See bolster is attached with screws. If it comes off, wouldn’t want brake controller to come at me.

There was an existing mounting screw under that area. Can’t comment what happens in an accident, though it sits low enough that I don’t think it’s an issue.

You know where to pull the OEM connection cable from right? It should be taped to another connection up there. You have to stick your hand up there pretty deep to get it.
