Adding powers outlets to truck bed truck bed

Quick question, I have utility bed group-lights in the truck bed. Would like to add a cigerrette lighter to run a portable refrigerator, expect 5 amp draw. Can i just tap into the hot lead to the lights in the bed or should I run a 10-12 gouge to the battery with a fuse ? If there is a sweet set up would love to see it
