What really irks me is when I'm in a car that doesn't do the tap-multi-flash and I tap and only get one flash. Or my 20 year old Volvo that requires the stalk to be jiggled when in the detent to keep it flashing.
I had an 80s Mercedes 300TD that would honk when the right turn signal was on and I made a sharp turn. Always fun in a parking lot full of people.
Then there were the motorcycles that required the rider to cancel the signal manually, usually resulting in at least one forgotten cancelation as you drive down a back road with a flasher on for miles.
Ah, the joys of turn signals.
