I have the HK system in my ‘25 Laramie and while it sounds decent the bass is underwhelming at the lower frequencies. So I would like to add a Sundown 8” sub and SALT 1 or 1.5 amp to power it. I plan on using the stock sub and speakers powered off of the stock amp.

What power and other considerations will I need to take into account to do this? I’ve read that there is some sort of bypass for the ANC…can anyone point me in the right direction for that?

Also, can the alternator handle adding a 1000 watt sub or am I looking at having my to add an AGM battery to do this?

Anyone else with experience care to comment on the power requirements part of my question?

That guy linked above at NetAudio, will have all your answers, for sure.......................

I have HK system in my '19 Longhorn, and plan on adding amp/sub. I have the amp already, and a decent 10" sub. I need a box, still undecided on ported or sealed. I bought (and installed) the ANC bypass cable from NetAudio, and will likely buy a custom box from him at some point.
