Adding a front camera to a 2025 Rebel

Hi everyone! New member here. I own a 2025 Rebel X 1500 in Delmonico Red/Black. I managed to trade my 2024 Tundra in for a pretty good price and got the Rebel, and let me say...I LOVE this truck! Anyway on to my question...the truck did not come with the package that included the front facing camera. The grille has a dummy replica of one, but I want to get the OEM camera put on and hooked to my head unit. Is this possible to do? Is it possible to do without major electrical work? Would a dealer be able to do it? TIA

You are Welcome!
I'm interested to this topic.
I also have a Rebel X 2025 (level 2) and the front camera would be really useful (if mounted on the front grille).

I finally got an answer from my dealership and it was not good news. They claim it can't be done with the OEM parts. I'll have to do aftermarket. But that may just be my dealer with that opinion. Sweet truck bro! I love that color. And your sport bar. Where'd you get it?

you'll need the 360 cam package to get it integrated.
the easiest way to chat is to do a 3 channel camera system like a wolfbox, which dubs as a rear view mirror, dash cam, and you can run a front facing camera. display will be at the rear view mirror spot.

Actually it can now be done as retrofitting any OEM parts is now possible on the 2025s but the programming side is a pain in the ***. If you search the forums you will find examples of a forum supporter retrofitting 14 inch screen passenger screen and passive entry to a 25 big horn.

Dealer will not be able to officially do this for you. However it can be done. Will need the camera wiring probably and the programming to adjust the configuration of vehicle to let it know it has a front camera and then the fun part. Proxi alignment of modules which either the dealer can do if you find a cool one that will only proxy align and not update your modules overwriting your changes. Or you need a 3 day subscription to Witech 2.0 ( dealer software), 3 day tech authority subscription through Mopar, J2534 pass through device, xtool a30m to unlock the security gateway, obd splitter, MX+ or similar Bluetooth device to make changes using alfaobd. And great news currently the j2534 devices cannot connect to Witech due to an issue on witechs side. But once it's available again you'll be able to retrofit any option. I'd wait until more develops in this field do any aftermarket stuff.

that works if you want to use analog signal from the cargo camera.
if you want HD quality you need digital signal and you will need to replace the existing camera module to a digital module, and potentially rerun the reverse cam as well (iirc they are different, but i can be wrong. what i know for certain is... it is A LOT of work and A LOT of parts to replace).

Thanks for sharing just to clarify my statement was not speaking to an analog simple parts replacement like upgrading a standard rear view mirror to the digital mirror and led camera cargo light that requires no programming.

My point was really big news that just came out that we can now change vehicle configuration and therefore integrate fully OEM options into the new trucks like we used to be able to do on the previous canbus powernet. It's not as easy to do but a break through has happened recently.

Please don't minimize that massive breakthrough by comparing it to an analog signal from a cargo camera that is a known upgrade you can do without programing.

yes and no.
using cargo camera for front cam still requires programming to enable it in the UC5 system.
and what i meant was:
to integrate front cam into a non 360 cam truck and still get clear picture from digital input (like the rear cam), you will need to change the module because that requires digital input and that is a lot of work.

Yes, it is a breakthrough, but it is not as easy as plug it in, do the programming, and call it a day type of thing. It is more like removing old module, run the wires (and likely need to do the doors as well), program it, get it calibrated, and then good to go. By no means I am minimizing the breakthrough, just pointing out it is still more work to get clear, digital input picture.
