Thank you. I was looking at that exact one, but did not know if it would be easier to just have it use the OE system. The trailer is also prewired for TireLinc, but that's $250+ just for the module. If you can't find an OEM upgrade, I highly recommend buying an aftermarket TPMS on Amazon for $50-$70. Super easy to install, the sensors simply replace the dust covers on the valve stem, and the receiver is the size of a deck of cards, wireless and can be put anywhere in the cab. You can literally install a complete kit in less than a minute.
These systems are also very accurate, often have extra features like tire air temp and different alarms for pressure and temp. They also update faster than the OEM units. I've used these for years on my older cars, absolutely love them.
Negatives? The cell batteries on the sensors usually only last a year or two, but cheap and easy to replace.
Here is a good example: Amazon.com
Thanks. Order placed.I used one similar. Fits in the dash cubby next to the 12v. The solar worked perfect on a 3500 mile trip we did last year.
I have a set of four sensors still in pkg. I’m not using them, looking to sell them.Mine came with the TMPS sensors to use the OEM system, all I had to do was have them installed on my camper. I'm sure you can order them if your Ram is equipped with the technology.
I'm not sure if I have the system. I don't believe so. I would need to buy both modules and the sensors then AlfaOBD it on.Mine came with the TMPS sensors to use the OEM system, all I had to do was have them installed on my camper. I'm sure you can order them if your Ram is equipped with the technology.
