Add OEM remote start...?

I know this is a bit old but has anyone installed the OEM remote start? I got it installed today only to find out my old key fob doesn’t work with the new RF module on the back wall… removed it and put the old one back so I can drive it. Any suggestions or is it best in the dealers hands now?

Just curious... how did you handle this? I can do the install with no problem, I just need to be able to drive it to the dealer for the programming. How did it work out for you? Thanks!

I originally researched this myself and found that AlphaOBD currently will not pull the rolling 5-digit PIN (it shows as not supported yet). I decided to take a chance and downloaded JLink, which works on both iPhone and Android.
I’m using an OBDLink MX+ along with a basic SGW bypass from Amazon—nothing special. I did have to purchase the JLink license, which was about $21 per vehicle. With that, I was able to successfully pull the 5-digit PIN and program an Amazon key fob that cost about $35.
Before downloading JLink, I activated all of the remote start options in AlphaOBD (they can also be activated directly in JLink if needed). My truck is a 2024 Ram 2500 Big Horn Cummins with very few options, and it now starts via the remote and drops the tailgate as expected.
