I think you’re speaking about the parking brake. Mine sounded/sounds the same. Disable auto parking brake and see if the noise persist. Mine went away once I disabled it.

Do you have air suspension?

Funny you brought this up, just heard the sound yesterday getting gas .

If you have air suspension and pull on the door handle when locked and the fob is not near the truck the suspension resets itself. I keep mine in aero mode all the time and this happens. It’s normal.

Just heard this for the first time yesterday. Freaked me out. I thought it was the fuel pump shutting down.

Because of the timing, it is probably the electronic rear e-brakes being applied. This is normal.

Just heard this tonight. If it’s the e brake being applied, shouldn’t it do this every time you turn off the truck and get out? I hadn’t even locked the doors yet.

Yeah, I'm not sure what it is but it isn't the e-brake. Mine does it too, but I don't have the auto e-brake set to engage.

Not sure how mines set at the moment. But definitely don’t hear it every time. Is the it the evap?

Once in a while I hear it.
Maybe it does it every so often to keep the cables and moving parts from 'sticking'?
