Anyone know what this does or how it works? Found it while my bumper was getting wrapped.

It drops down once you get to a certain speed to help direct air. It's supposed to help with fuel economy. Several of us have removed that, along with the fixed air dam, for various reasons. Unplugging it doesn't throw a MIL.

Took mine off about 5K miles ago and have barely noticed a difference in MPG. Maybe .5 at most and thats mostly highway miles. Got rid of that and the fixed valence for a little more front bumper clearance and a better look.
