Been getting these lights randomly. Dealer diagnosed bad LF wheel speed sensor last time, a week or so ago, and repaired under max care less deductible. Few days later light comes back on. Very random, can be while driving, after being started and before moving, etc. Anyone have a similar experience or tips?

Truck has 48k. Otherwise drives normally, no vibration or other driveability issues. ABS did seem to work with the light on - did hard stop and got the peddle pump sensation from it apparently working as normal. Lights will turn off typically after a little while, after three times check engine light will set and then turn off after a few drive cycles if error does not recur.

Based on interactions with dealer, have some concerns about competence/honesty but stuck with them for now because they “fixed” it the first time.

Any advice appreciated.

Intermitten problems can be a bear.
Could be an other sensor failing or a problem somewhere else down the line. I would get the alfa OBD app, OBDlink MX+ or equivalent interface and a SGW bypass cable, connect to the truck and monitor the live wheel speed sensor signals to see if one was dropping out.
If getting into troubleshooting is not your cup of tea, then maybe go to an independent shop or try a different dealer?

For now I started with this dealer and have to go back or else I will wind up paying the $200 deductible again when it wasn’t fixed the first time. But I may pick up one of the readers you mention. I suspect it is an issue with a plug being corroded or not fully seated, or an abrasion in the wire harness that intermittently grounds or otherwise drops out.

Is this thread including the ACC or FCC issue?

Another issue followed. After I brought it to them for the ABS recall, the tailgate fails to open now.
Westbury dealership charges me $500 just to diagnose my 2021 Ram 1500 Sport.

I had a similar thing and it was an ABS wire rubbing against the frame or something and exposed the copper and was intermittently shorting out. They had to replace the harness because the plug had gotten so hot it kind of melted itself together. Fixed it 1.5 years ago and smooth sailing since.

It goes back today. Assuming it is fixed, I will circle back so others have the info in the event a similar issue occurs with their trucks.
