I know there is an ABS software update, just not sure I triggered the problem or if my experience yesterday was normal. I think my Rebel has stock tires (Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain Adventure, LT275/70R18 LR E).
So two part question, what are the symptoms for the ABS software recall (I searched, did not find details). Do the stock tires just suck in certain conditions (and if so, what are better tire brands and models)?
Had just had some rain, not a lot. Headed to the store shortly after it stopped. I have driven in the rain before with no problems other than being even gentler with the throttle from a stop.
ABS activated at surprisingly low speed going into a curve and felt like stopping distance was stretching out to very long distances. Not sure if the truck was actually slipping. Was a bit busy to note any dashboard lights. Truck did this two times in a row.
May have just been a bad combination of a short light rain half-dried up and aphid crap on the road...
