Friends,
Just took delivery of an ARE Series camper topper. I suspect there is a manufacturer defect with the camper. In order for the rear hatch to seat and close properly against the tailgate, the camper seats approximately 1/2” off front frame of the bed. Very much unlike the comparable Leer topper sitting on my friends 2019 Tundra.
Also, the frame surrounding the side “win-doors” just doesn’t look good. Their are breaks and imperfections in the aluminum. Considering the $2400 price tag, I’m not overly impressed.
I’m going to contact ARE. Everything looks relatively fine, and functionality is fine, but I am not overly impressed.
