Owners manual recommends 89.....personally I’ve used 89 for 11 years now dating back to my previous truck, an 09 Ram Hemi. Just curious how many in here are doing so as well.

I do, Maybe I'm throwing $$ away but I want it to last and be as efficient as designed. A few extra cents at the pump lets me rest easy.

Since Costco/Sams do not have 89, I try to vary fill ups between 93 and 87 to mix it the best I can towards 89.

Costco 91 is Top Tier fuel and cheaper than everyone else's 89 around me (that's a Top Tier station). When I can I fill up with Costco 91 (but I'm not waiting 20 minutes to do it) otherwise I'll fill up with 89 at a Top Tier station nearby.

Pretty much exactly what I do. Except our Top Tier 89 is *slightly* less than Costco 91. Just depends on where I'm at and what's most convenient. But I only use Top Tier brands regardless of 89 or 91 (Costco).

Same here other than we have 93 instead of 91...and Costco 93 is usually close to other brands 89.

I had been using only 89. Then I was on a road trip and was running low on gas. Got off the highway and all they had left was 87, so I used it. Didn't notice any difference whatsoever on that tank. Since then I usually alternate or don't care at all. The cost doesn't matter to me either way; it's insignificant compared to the truck, but sometimes I stop for gas and my only choice is 87 or 93, and there I use 87.

91 octane for me but that’s because there’s more cleaner agent in the 91 in my area than the 89 or 87
