8 Speed Trans Maintenance

I just turned 60k on my 2020 1500 with the 8 speed and am real interested in getting the fluid and filter serviced. My question is has anyone taken theirs to the dealer and if so what was that experience (and price tag) like, OR has anyone just done it themselves? I'm not opposed to doing it myself but I know its a giant pain in the a** and so I'm weighing my options. I'd like it get it done before the winter and I do have some time coming up, but it would be a driveway/jackstands job; no shop and lift like the Youtube video I saw so just wanna get some insight from anyone here. Thanks

I've seen quote from $800-1200 from dealerships.

Did mine myself. If you have tools and basic mechanical knowledge, it's not that much of a pain in the ***. The worst part is refilling with the fill port right next to exhaust and need to have truck running when filling.

Can be done in less than an hour by yourself. Dealer visit you are probably going to waste 3 hours minimum, and that's with an appointment. Mom and pop shop, probably at least 2 hours, unless you are the only vehicle there
