does this make any sense? the 6112s on clip 8 provide 2.6 inches of lift on non rebel/orp trucks which nets 2 inches on rebels. fox 3 inch lift coilovers lift a non rebel 3 inches but still only 2 inches on a rebel. if 2.6 inches equals 2 inch rebel how does 3 inch also equal only 2 inches. wouldn't the fox 3 inch coilovers equal about 0.4 more lift on a rebel than the 6112s. Ive been doing alot of research on the forum and from what members with both setups say they got 2 inches of lift.

Most likely they engineer both of them to only give you 3 inches of lift max because anything over that and you’re really putting all the suspension geometry out of whack. Those are supposed to be more off-road focused struts/coilovers so it makes sense that they would want to keep suspension geometry decent so you don’t blow your CVs or UCAs etc. the first time you do some moderate off roading.

Also obviously the Fox will only give 3” max lift because it’s a true coilover so you’re replacing your factory strut & coil. The 6112 on the other hand gives you lift height by adjusting the spring perch on the strut. According to their infographic, just to maintain the stock height on a rebel you’ll need to be on perch setting #3. They call it .7 inch instead of 1 inch (not sure why). Therefore you only have an additional 5 settings to gain height, which maxes out at 2” above the 3rd perch. You should also check out Carli Suspension. They just released 2.5” lift coilovers for our trucks and they have a very lengthy article as to why the coilover was strictly limited to 2.5” and not 3.

Carli has not released for the Rebel yet. They are starting to work on the Eco diesel and will get a Rebel in after that.

Why would it make any difference? A rebel is the same as a normal truck in this scenario since they’re completely replacing the coilover assembly and rear spring & shock. So the rebel will use the exact same parts, and it will sit the same height as a standard truck with the Carli suspension.

Carli is very particular and goes to the extreme measuring everything to make sure it’s right. Ask them. I’m just telling you what I know in talking to them.
