Hello Fellow 5thGeners

I'm starting to get the itch to upgrade from my Mopar Lift (which rides very nice I must say) to a 6" lift. I have my eyes on BDS or possibly Pro Comp (a company has a deal for under $5000CDN for 6" Pro Comp, 20" rim and 35s).

Does anyone have comparison pictures with a 6" lifted truck (with 35s) beside a stock truck?

Does anyone have a picture with someone that is 5"11 (give or take an inch in each direction) standing beside the truck with a 6" lift ?

On another note there is someone selling a brand new 4" BDS lift for $2800CDN which is tempting but I don't know if I'd gain anything in height from Mopar lift that gave me 3.5" of lift. And the feeling I'd regret not going with 6" (my prior Ram was a 2007 2500 with 13" lift and was my DD lol)

Thanks

Looks good

Maybe it's my eyes or something. But the 4" lift for some reason looks higher then the 6"

What lifts did you have?
Thanks. the 4" is for sure shorter. It might be that lighting but you can see the front gap is bigger in the 6" pic. The kit started as a zone rebel 4" lift but I wanted to go up and called zone and asked what i needed to make the 4" kit the same as the 6" and they said I all I needed was the front strut spacer so I swapped the strut spacer to the 6" kit

I've had 2 - 5th gens with 6" lifts, one Fabtech and one BDS (go BDS). Both with 20x10's, both with 35x12.50s. Black one has -18 offset, blue one -24. Here they are

Then here is my current one next to my brother's Big Horn before he lifted his.

Then here is mine before and after if this helps.

Perfect just what I wanted to see.

Thanks for the pictures. I'll be looking at BDS most likely.

any rubbing, scrubbing or trimming with either vehicle?

Yes, had to trim the front mudflaps (rear of the tire) and knock the corner off the pinch seam. Also I ended up trimming the corners off the front air damn.

If you go 4" you'll regret it. 2800 for a 4" kit not installed is nothing special. Kits can be bought for 1500 to 2500 plus install which typically is 1000 plus shocks if you want to add. The price of below 5000 installed with wheels tires and lift sounds not bad. We used autofx in Hamilton who does alot of lifts. They did great work. They had a fall promo for 4th gen pro comp 6" 2200 installed ! Added some shocks to it for couple hundred and awesome deal..5th gens although the same amount of work and Basically the same thing prices are higher. I think under 5k is pretty good usually ppl charge alot more.
