5th gen issues

Is anyone experiencing any issues with the 5th gens? I have a 19 1500 Laramie sport. When I fold my mirrors in, the passenger mirror gets hung up and goes into hyper mode, and eventually folds in. I also have the mirrors tilt down in reverse, one usually gets stuck down. I also have the big 12” display. After going in reverse , my backup cam usually stays on, and won’t go away Not to mention every piece on the truck has some sort of paint defect. Kinda sad that I traded in a 17 2500 Cummins for this.

Sorry about your issues! I have a 2020 Laramie sport, no issues at all! I’ve had it since September!

May not work, but disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes, then reconnect. Let the truck sit for 15-20 minutes without starting. Just let it sit and give the computers time to reboot. Then start and see if your issues are resolved. If it clears, post an update.

May save you some dealer hassle. The paint issues can probably be removed with wet sanding at dealer body shop.

My son and I both have ‘19 Laramie Rams. No problems with paint, but my passenger mirror stopped folding. Had it replaced in November. Now the driver mirror is doing what you describe. Having it replaced next week. Had an issue with the backup camera going blue screen, had it replaced and it’s worked perfectly for about 6 months. My sons truck has no issues after a radio replacement. All in all, we love our trucks.

update; truck was returned to Lucas Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Lumberton NJ For all of the below. Their Warranty service plan was to send the vehicle out to repair (local 3rd party) and blend each individual paint defect. Their service manager advised against it, because there is no way it would match. The service team then told me that I am on my own with the paint defects as they do not have their own body shop. They gave me a lead on another CJDR dealership that has a body shop in house. At this point I mentioned the dealership buy the truck back as they sold me the truck and are refusing to do anything In regards to the paint warranty claim. They told me that they would never buy a vehicle back despite them selling me the vehicle. They told me FCA would have to buy the vehicle back through the lengthy Claim process. The truck is still in their service department awaiting disposition of the electrical issues.
