2019 1500 quad cab; 5.7 hemi; P0171 & P0174; both banks running lean suddenly. Spits, sputters no power. Want to do a fuel pump & relief pressure test. Have the equipment. Never done before on this vehicle. Information is lacking online unless you have previous generation. No schrader valve on the fuel rail! Looking for specs for pressure, and best way to tap into pump line?

Need to be able to hook up inline. I have a jumper hose that attaches between the rail and fuel hose to test pressure.

Is your truck related to mine because I have been experiencing the same with my 2020 , soon as you cut the key off and restart it’s fine, had the service writer at my local stealership take a ride with me after several times there for the same issue , he said fuel pump , dropped it off , the mechanic couldn’t replicate the symptoms so it was given back to me still broke, I’m at whits end with it a well

Bringing this back from the dead, my 2019 Ram with the 5.7 Hemi and 52k miles started doing this today while on the highway out of nowhere. I was able to get it back home and i hooked up my OBD2 scanner and looked at the fuel trims and they are maxed out adding fuel (to correct the lean condition). It threw both P0171 and P0174 codes, but nothing else. I am suspecting a fuel pump, but did the OP ever get this resolved so I can figure out where to start? Would love to also see how people monitor their fuel pressure because for some unknown reason there are no schrader valves on the fuel rails. Any help is appreciated.

Update for at least my issue, it turned out to be a faulty fuel pump in my case. It’s insane that I have never had a fuel pump fail on any car no matter how many miles, but my 5yr old truck with 52,000 miles managed to accomplish this very feat.

Had a 1984 Toyota Celica fuel pump go, maybe 6 years old at the time of failure. Also believe my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 but can't recall the mileage or date.

Have you found a adapter to test fuel pressure?
