$500 head light bulb replacement!

Its $1K for oem on a 1500 RAM. There's a recent thread on it.

With all the electronics they are putting in vehicles, it's only gonna get worse $$ wise to get them fixed.

Oh for the days of the easy replacement bulb (that shone at least 30' in front of you)!

I would make a trap door on wheel well liners to be able to access the low beams before I pay that much. I was quoted 500 to install aftermarket headlights.

I'm definitely gonna ask for a itemized breakdown next time I'm quoted a price for work on the truck.

Ok, I've looked everywhere else, posted on other threads and still no answer. My truck: 2022 Ram 1500 Big Horn. The situation: My passenger side headlight (low beam) wasn't working. Got replacements. Replacement didn't work. Replacement works on driver side, but not passenger side. Went to check the fuse. According to Google, my manual, the diagram in this thread, the fuse box cover in my truck, and the diagram from "Start My Car" the headlight fuse locations are F55 and F61, however BOTH slots are empty. no fuse in either one. But again, my driver side still works. So, where tf are the fuses for the headlights?

even the bighorn has auto headlights so not likely but i suppose it's possible the headlight switch could be bad
F55 and F61 are for HID bulbs you do not have those on a bighorn.
got this from a ram mechanic.
There are four fuses that control all the lights on your vehicle, but everything is managed through the body control module.
Unlike older models, the headlights don't have individual fuses; instead, all power and grounding are controlled by the body control module.
put a known good bulb in and disconnect the battery for a while it may reset

a mechanic friend said do a global reset. take off both battery terminals and touch them together. he said it resets everything. can't hurt.....
