5 Inch to 8.4 Inch Upgrade

So just wanted to give you guys the updated pictures after I received the new bezel today. Everything works perfectly. Next step I'm going to ask the dealership if they can load the app to control the heated steering wheel from the screen. Let me know what you guys think.
Any chance you could share where you got the parts along with the part numbers?

In my case it looked like I'd need the following parts but I'm opting to wait to see what infotainment will offer in comparison.

2019 DODGE RAM 1500 HEAT A/C RADIO CONTROLLER SINGLE ZONE 8.4" SCREEN 68340283AC - $150.00 ish on ebay
UConnect 4C Nav with 8.4 inch Touch Screen UAQ Radio Module 68307655AD $700 ish (Factoryradioparts)
Uconnect 4C 8.4 inch screen $500 ish (Factoryradioparts)

So looks like Infotainment is getting ready to release the 12" screen upgrade this week or next. I got an email for a webinar on Thursday to introduce the product. From my recent conversations with Infotainment, the 12" upgrade will cost somewhere between $3,000 - $3,500, which IMO is too high. I might hold out and see what the 8.4" upgrade will cost and might go that route.

All upgrade options are now on the Infotainment website and available for purchase on Monday, August 12, 2019.

Looks good! Did you ever get the heated steering wheel working?

Not sure if their prices are stable as of yet it looks like they want 4K for the 12" display now and the 8.4" with nav is almost up to 3K for those prices I'd be inclined to stick with the 5" or try buying the parts for the 8.4" separately since it sounds like it can be done for less buying the parts.

Just ordered the 8.4 non nav. $1699.00 includes the bezel and trim. Wasn't about to spend an extra $1000 for nav that my phone can do better.
8.4 non nav $1699.95
8.4 Nav. $2699.95
12". $3999.95

I don't get why you can't reuse your existing bezel (part with the HVAC ducts) with the Infotainment kit. Seems like you could just replace the screen and the trim. Would definitely save some money on the cost of the kit. Also, the 8.4" non-nav looks like it is just plug and play (and confirmed in the post above). If so, it's probably a lot cheaper to just order the parts and replace.

It looks like the correct part number are:

68292209AF
68340283AC

Tac747 do you have dual zone climate control?

When you get the parts, can you confirm the mopar part number for the parts included in the Infotainment kit?
I will post the part numbers when I get it. Just today I received the tracking numbers and it should be here Friday.

I went the aftermarket route.
That is pretty nice. I had been unable to locate a brand that was compatible but Now that I have spent $1700 on the infotainment setup, every manufacturer out there will have a compatible system on the market.

I recently purchased the non-nav 8.4" screen from eBay (part number 68292209AF) and can confirm that it is plug and play. As previously mentioned in this thread, all you need is the anti-theft code. I also ordered the Sirius XM upgrade kit from Infotainment since this screen has the Sirius XM connection where the compass connection plugs in on the 5 inch screen. Once I get the Sirius XM cable and antenna, the compass will work again. Infotainment also sells a converter cable for $20 if you don't want Sirius XM but want to retain the compass feature. I am waiting on the new bezel, should be here tomorrow. Once I have that, I will confirm the part number.

The 5-inch to 8.4-inch non-nav can be easily upgraded for under $1,000 going this route.

34086Here is a pic of the current set-up, without the new bezel. As you can see, you can temporarily use the 5 inch bezel, however it does not sit perfectly flush and you are missing the manual tune and volume controls. The compass feature at the bottom of the screen is there, but doesn't work because the plug is different. Once the infotainmment Siruis XM upgrade kit comes, the compass will regain functionality.

Had to use the dash kit from a 4th gen

I received the infotainment upgrade today.
I can verify the radio PN 68292209AF
The bezel PN 68340283AC
There was some really minor scuffing on the top of the instrument panel that was supplied and it had more of a shiny finish than the flat black top that came with the truck. I was going to keep my original panel and just replace the bezel with the supplied 8.4" bezel but 2 of the attachment points and the alignment posts do not line up so I was forced to use the supplied panel. Hopefully you will not run into this problem. I was considering cutting the alignment posts and connection points off but for the time being decided to leave it alone. Hopefully my OCD will let me. I attached a picture showing which screw post and alignment tab is the problem. The original 5" measures 2-1/2 inches center to center. The 8.4 measures 2-5/8" That must be why infotainment sends the whole instrument panel instead of just the bezel.

Good to know. Do you have the part number for the panel? I believe it is located at the top and should start with 5YU.
