So I've had this vehicle for a little over 4yrs now and idk that I'd buy another one after this. The comfort and ride quality has been amazing especially for long drives but the reliability I think might be the worst of any vehicle I've ever owned. Within a month the trailer wiring harness was corroded and had to be replaced, it needed the radio replaced last year, the ball joint on the upper control arm recently exploded during normal driving, the oil pan is already leaking, it's been aligned more than any car I've ever owned combined and still can't wear tires evenly, it's blown the white lights in the third brake light twice already, and there's weird little electrical ghosts like if you try and auto up both windows at once most times only one will work (weird small things like that). To be fair I haven't looked across other manufacturers at their issues and I am used to mainly cars pre 2015 models (maybe vehicles just got way worse in the past few years?). Idk where I'm going with this because I do love the truck but thinking back on all the issues it doesn't sound like a good long term vehicle.

Sorry to hear that man. On the flip side I have a 2019 that I bought new and the only thing I had was the catalytic converter problem. Everything else has been great and no problem with tire wear either.

Its because you got the E-Torque. Everyone hates that, so might as well blame it. 🤣 (Kidding.)

Not that that this helps you at all, I'm sorry to hear about all your problems, but to throw more info at you:
My father bought a new 2022 Limited with the 5.7 (non-e-torque) back in 2022. Other than his tailgate needing adjusted (his multi-function tailgate needs to be slammed hard to get it to latch properly), he's had no issues over 38k miles. The tailgate evidently doesn't bother him, as its had that issue since the first year, and he has yet to take it in to get fixed.

Sounds like you got an oddball semi-bad apple this round, unfortunately.

i also have a 2019 laramie pearl tri coat crew 12 nav pano.......RWD. 84000 mi the exhaust manifolds have not cracked (yet) and like you trouble free. i am the second owner but the first guy didn't have any issues either.
funny thing is.
Ram 1500 Most Dependable Truck
This win comes on the heels of winning JD Power back-to-back initial quality awards in 2023 and 2024. For the 2026 study, here are how the trucks finished: First – Ram 1500. Second – Chevy Silverado 1500.Feb 13, 2026

My 2021 Laramie 5.7 non e-torque. Just passed the five year mark. It spent its first 2 years pulling an RV and that was some brutal work. Sold the RV. The Ram is passing 44k miles. The only trouble I’ve had is the leaking rear glass. I did not screw around with it. I had it replaced outside warranty with single glass no window or defrost. Cost me $445. Other than that this truck is perfect.

5 years and 100K. Both sides broken manifolds. Fuel Pump Modulator which i pulled off myself, cargo light keeps going out, two Visors fell off. 2 tire pressure sensors, 2 upstream 02 sensors which may have been ok but I have leaking manifolds. Leaky window. Worthless MDS.

Drives and feels great though.

My first and last Hemi.

When I was looking at the truck at the dealer, the MFT wouldn't swing open after we had opened it the regular way. Found out it has to be slammed shut for the barn doors to open. It sounds like it's common for this type of tailgate. I rarely lower the tailgate so it hasn't bothered me.

Honestly, thats not a whole lot of issues. I understand we all want our vehicles to be perfect.

Id say the ball joint may be related to the alignment issue. Do you have a lift or level in the truck?

Oil pan is a known issue on some trucks. Just have to keep an eye on it. Obviously, it shouldn't happen and hopefully your new pan won't have any issues.

Funnily that E-Torque has worked perfectly so far haha. Oh I forgot about that my tailgate had the randomly opening issue and opened one time with the camper on the back of it and got dented and broke the tongue jack on the camper haha (thankfully the RV dealer replaced the jack for free even though they didn't have to).

No it's not a ton of issues it's just the most issues i've ever had on a car (especially one this young) but I've mostly owned Japanese so they just work forever.

Sorry to hear this. Does not give me a lot of confidence.

Sometimes you just get a bad one. I've driven a lot of Toyotas over the years however my 03 Tundra had a lot of issues for a Toyota.

That truck couldn't keep a front end in it. Multiple sets of lower ball joints, tie rod ends, and steering rack all before 70k. Needed front brake calipers on each side around 50k. Multiple sets of front brake pads and rotors because it was always pulsing and vibrating when you stepped on the brakes. Cat converter on one side failed around 75k. Multiple alignments and tire balancing because the front tires always wore uneven. The only reason I didn't go broke fixing that truck was I bought an extended warranty on it. Then to top it off the frame rotted out. I actually got Toyota to buy that truck back when the frame issues hit.

Oh, my stories of my '07 Tundra. Silly thing went into limp mode, so I took it in for service. When the dealer asked me if I'd run it off into a lake, I knew I was in trouble.

I expect issues with vehicles. You just hope it's not catastrophic, or smaller problems over the years. Just gets old after a while.

Yeah I mean maybe I was due for a bad one I have been very lucky with vehicles. To be fair I haven't paid (so far) anything for these issues up to this point so at least I'm not out of pocket yet.

That sucks, sorry to hear about your issues. My story has been the exact opposite, in two years and nine months of ownership, I haven't had a single issue with my 2023 Ram 1500 5.7 with e-torque, 4X4, Lone Star edition. I'm knocking on wood as I type this lol Granted, I am retired, don't go anywhere so I only have 25,XXX miles on it as it sits today. Okay, one issue is my Uconnect disconnects from my phone sometimes, but that is the only issue I've had. Part of me wants the new SO Hurricane motor in a Warlock, especially after some seat time behind one, but I don't want to push my luck, and of course make a bad financial decision. I haven't pushed my truck, its 5.7 motor by towing heavy loads or going 4 by 4 in the mud and dirt, etc. So that may be a factor in its having no issues. But I see people having issues without pushing their trucks, so, is what it is. I have a truck to haul my service dog and myself around, occasional furniture moves for a local business, and that's it. Of the four half-tons i've owned, this is the best of the four (3 F150's, one 5.0 and two 2.7 motors).

Coming up on 4 years and approaching 70,000 miles for me. My truck has been perfect except for having to replace the starter and the standard occasional uConnect glitches. The starter kinda took me by surprise since I haven’t had to replace one on a vehicle in over 30 years.

Can’t complain though last 3 RAM’s accumulating almost 300,000 miles and that was actually the first repair outside of normal maintenance items like brakes and such. I don’t exactly baby my trucks and drive them hard. Maybe that’s the secret.😆

I haven’t had any exhaust manifold, rear window leaks or other common issues like so many others have had. Even my oil pan looks brand new after 4 salty Wisconsin winters.

KNOCK ON WOOD

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. Hopefully you come to some conclusions and you're able to solve some of them permanently. Coming up on 6yrs and 87,xxx miles for mine. No major problems for me thankfully.
