35 mpg avg over 869 miles. Truck has 4WD 90k GDE tune & 3.21. Truck is used commercially to pilot oversize loads. So this is mostly 65 mph HWY.

You must have no hills where you are. Best I got was 28.5 from Detroit to Mt Vernon Ill.

Sounds believable.... I get around 30 during the summer months at 72 MPH flat highways with the 3.92 gears. I can get around 900 miles per 33 gallons of fuel which is the reason I bought the truck. It just sucks they won't be offering the EcoDiesel engine any longer.

Meanwhile im over here is Hemi land hoping I can get 17 mpg on the highway.
im glad i'm not the only one, i get 12mpg mixed and hope to get like 22 driving SC to FL

I can believe it. I had wind to my back and going 70 mph for some time and averaged 31.5 MPG. I was like WOW. But that was the only time I have ever been able to achieve that. Also have the GDE Tune in at 3000 miles and over 12,000 miles now. Now just so the HPPF holds out till the new ones come in.

My last truck was about identical to yours. '19 Hemi/eTorque 4x4. I had 3.92 gears.

According to Fuelly, over 72K miles, my average was 14 MPG. I never, on any trip, got better than 20.0. Including trips from SC to FL (I live in Lexington, SC, now and go to FL pretty often).

When I was getting ready to order my truck, I test-drove a Hemi with 3.92 gears. It put a big grin on my face. But I don't need a truck to put a grin on my face. I have other vehicles for that. :giggle:

What was your highway speed?

Not been on forum for a while, but had really good mileage this summer.
1301 KMS and used 109 liters of gas to refill tank.(1 Tank of gas all highway)

Converted it would be around 33MPG I believe.
I did change out my Goodyear Duratrack to a Good highway tire, and for sure it helped.

I haven’t confirmed with the gallons/miles driven division, as I’ve seen some say that the MPG gauge is a lie-o-meter. But I can say I’m with the 30+ club, I drove from Tampa FL to Nashville at 70mph exactly on cruise control. I got 31.6mpg at the end of the trip one way. I love this diesel. I didn’t buy it for the speed, I bought it to be a truck and it sure is a bonus to save diesel while using it.

And I’m over here going, “Hot Chit, I’m up to 11.5 mpg on the lie-o-meter! Best tank I’ve gotten yet!”

I filled up on Friday (and reset my Trip 2 and my Fuel Economy display) and drove 700 miles between then and today. When I filled up today, my onboard computer said 26.2 MPG. My hand calculation (via Fuelly) said I actually got 22.74 MPG.

Several times a year we drive from the NC foothills to the SC coast, near Charleston. Net elevation loss is about 1300' going down.

I always notice a significant (at least 5%, sometimes 10%) difference in mileage going down vs coming back. I know there is a net climb coming back but we are also a little lighter--less fuel in tank, less food, etc... Traffic is usually pretty much the same each way as well.

I never have figured out why the fuel mileage isn't closer between both directions.

My wife and I took our 2022 Longhorn ED with the GDE tune for a 2,600 mile round trip from Detroit to Sioux Falls South Dakota, up to Duluth and Two Harbors Minnesota, then east to Marquette Michigan then to Michigan's Soo area, and then headed south back home. The average MPH for the trip was 32.6 MPG which was mostly interstate driving between 55 and 75 MPH plus surface driving with stop and go.
