Hello everyone, I’m kinda new to posting to the forum though I’ve been a lurker for quite a while. I have a 2021 1500 DT with the off road group, 3.92 gears, and a 3.0 ecodiesel. The truck is a crew cab 6’4” box. The Factory 20 inch rims are wrapped in falken wildpeak ATs that are size 275/55r20 ~32.25 inches. I’m thinking about possibly upping the tire size to 285/65/r20 to fill out the wheel wells a little bit. I’m not opposed to putting in a mild lift or leveling the truck but I wanted to ask if any of you guys with rebels or with off road group equipped trucks have had issues running 34 inch tires with your stock setup. Thanks for any and all input. And my apologies if this is a topic that has been beaten to death.

Here’s a photo of my rig. Only 10,000 miles on the clock and hopefully many thousands more!

You could take a look on americantrucks.com and they will state if a wheel/tire combo will rub. You were just filter for an aftermarket wheel that matches stock backspacing and offset, then add the tire size you’re looking for

Thanks for the reply djevox. I’m thinking I may stay with the factory built to serve rims, I like their look. But I will check out that site and see what they say. Thanks again -Mike

Yeah, it’s just for reference. You can filter by stocks stance with no rub and no lift. then click add wheel and tire package to see if a tire matches what you want. Or, just call them and ask

Wound up going with the 285/65r20’s they are E rated Falken ATW. With a tape measure they are approximately 34.5” and a scale shows they are 10 pounds heavier per tire. Ride quality hasn’t changed much at all even running them at 45 psi, still very comfortable. After a Speedo calibration fuel economy has only dipped about 1.5 mpg city and less than 1 mpg Highway, the Ecodiesel handles these tires very well. Overall extremely happy with the look, feel, and capability of these new tires. Before and after pictures below. Also a comparison of a 34.5 tire next to a 2020 Mazda MX-5 for S’s and G’s.

Looks good, and the ecodiesel is great for not having mpg’s take too much of a hit. I dropped about 2mpg, but my tires added 19lbs and the wheels added 5. That’s a bunch of unsprung weight. I think I’ll have to get a light non-LT tire for my next set.

So these don't rub. They look like a perfect fit.

I'm a big fan of the BTS wheels, or the black ones that came on a different trim. That's a nice combo you have. I'm trying to find a set to replace my midnight 22s which are nice but just looking for more tire. Again, nice setup!

If I go off a curb at full lock they will very lightly rub the wheel well liners up front. Normal driving with potholes and light off roading I haven’t heard anything worth worrying about.
So now that’s you’ve run those for several months, what do you think? Any rubbing? I’ve got almost the exact rig as you and running those stock Falken tires. Curious, if it was easy, would you add 1-2” to the front to avoid rubbing?

They look good exact same size and tire I'm about to put on my 2020 limited. If ya don't care me asking what did you pay? Discount has me at $1660 out the door w/o road hazard.

Thanks! I'm very happy with how they're performing. 25,000 miles on them and they basically still look new. And sorry for the delayed response, but I wound up buying these tires at a small local shop. Mounted and balanced 5 tires were 1,700.00 on the dot

So I haven't modified the truck at all but I would consider maybe a 1-2 inch lift all around. As much as i like the look of a leveled truck I would keep the rear higher for payload and towing purposes, that's just my opinion though. However these tires haven't given me any rubbing issues in normal driving but still at full lock backing over a curb or steep driveway apron the fronts will gently rub the plastic wheel well liners. not enough to cause concern but enough that you will hear it!
