Hey y'all, first post on here. Just picked up my 2019 rebel and plan on leveling and putting larger tires on next week. Ordered 295 70r18's, but was wondering if anyone is running 305's with just a leveling kit and if there was any rubbing.
thank you!

There are a few people with 305/50-22 or 305/55-20. Those are around 33" diameter, about the same as the OEM Rebel tire. A 295/70-18 is over 34" tall. How tall did you want to go?

Here is a good website I found that you can compare tires and get the visual of the difference from the different angles of the tires (height, width, mph difference etc...) This can assist you in your searching of tires. I used your tire size and one that DavidNJ mentioned that you can see the difference:

Hope this helps a bit!

That looks great! I am even more excited now for mine.
I have new wheels and the 2.5" Motofab + Readylift UCA's get delivered today. The local 4WheelParts store has my Nitto Ridge Grappler 295/70r18 tires waiting. I tried to save a few bucks and get Falken Wildpeaks but could not find a set anywhere. Wheels are the Pro Comp 46 series Prodigy.

Aren't people squeezing 35" Grapplers in leveling kits? Those measure ~34.7" iirc.

@ColoradoCub has fit 34" 275/65-20's to his OE height, no Off-Road Group Ram with no rubbing. The tires are 34.1" tall. The wheels are near OE +18 offset.

33855

In this thread, @Paulmg1986 had 295/70-18 on what appear to be OE rims. These tires are 34.6" tall. He had a 2" level kit in front.

33856

The OE 22" tires are 285 wide. People have fit 305 wide tires on OE rims. They are more or less flush with the outside but within 1/4" of the upper control arm on the inside. A+6 spacer or +12 or +15 offset wheels would probably fix that, but move the tire an additional 1/4" outboard. It becomes look and functionality vs. stone chips in the paint.

The level kit manufacturers claim to fit 35x12.5LT tires with a 2" level. With steel springs these kits add a spacer to the top of the front coilovers. Some of the kits indicate that ball joint angle is too severe with just increasing the length of the strut and include fabricated upper control arms. Those kits, such as one from ReadyLift and TuffCountry, run closer to $500 + installation. By putting a mounting spacer on the coilover these kits all maintain OE wheel travel without changing the bump/droop ratio. These kits are all very conservative on the tire sizes they approve, seemingly based on the OE size being the max that will fit at OE front ride height. However, many people have 33" and even 34" at OE right height.

With air suspension, the level kits use an adjustable link to trick the sensors. That raises the front but adversely alters the wheel travel by substituting bump travel for droop, just the opposite of when a sports car is excessively lowered. Given that these trucks don't seem to have a lot of front travel in first place, taking 2" out of the bump, basically running in OR2 which FCA limits to 20mph, seems a bit problematic, IMHO.

FWIW, the Ram Prerunner and TRX don't really do lift. They have a long arm suspension in front that allows more travel (13.5") and wide fenders (not that expensive, from FiberworX) that allow them to get their clearance from 37" tires. They may have a 1:2 to 1:3 bump/droop ratio, and maybe higher. Those kits are expensive, as is painting the fenders. This is an actual customer's 2014; 2019 kits also exist. The 2019 picture is from FiberworX.

Correction made to the previous post. No Off-Road Group.

And...this is @griebs303's truck. Off-Road Package but no lift or level. 34" 285/70-18 tires with 0 offset wheels

33899

This is @airvista66's truck. 33x12.50, shorter but wider than others, on OE 22" rims. The tires are 32.8" tall and 12.5 wide. They still seem to be tucked under. For 20" wheels there are als 33x11.5 and 305/55 sizes. The 305/55 is 33.2" tall and 12.5" wide; its is available both as an SL (not XL) metric and as a E1 LT. Reports are they are very close but not touching the upper control arm.

OK...just the thread I was looking for...

2019 Ram 1500 Quad 4x4 (new body 6 lug)

I have not been able to find the Bilstein 5100 in stock anywhere (first choice) So the set up I am considering to run is as follows.

My AMAZON cart has:
MOTOFAB 2.5 leveling kit
Black Wheel Skinz
Black Wheel Flares
6x5.5 x 2inch spacers

About to order from WALMART TIRES 4 x General Grabber 3X 295-70-18
Running the stock 18 Factory wheels with the 2 inch spacers.

Looking for this in BILLET SILVER with a little more wheel poking out.

ram-tires-295-70-18-jpg.33856

If the Bilstein's somehow show up in my cart somewhere I will swap out the Motofab 2.5" kit for them. Also hearing I might want to upgrade to the MEVOTECH UCA as they are beefier than stock but does the ball joint angle get changed with these? Is there a UCA that addresses the Ball Joint angle issue? I only have 7K miles on the truck and I am towing a 7k pound TT. I don't want any surprises like blown out BJs or broken down on the road. One retailer said 5100's would be available after 1 Feb. Should I wait or is the Motofab GTG? Thoughts?
