Anyone put this tire on an OEM wheel? I hate the OEM tires and looking to upgrade to Michelin. Love the look of the 305 width vs 285, but I think I'm pushing it considering the OEM wheel is 9". Also, I'm looking to replace my limited night edition wheels with the Laramie sport 22" wheels. Just don't like these limited wheels.

305/45/22 Toyo Open Country AT3 on stock limited 22s. Had similar concerns about 9” rim and discount tire assured me these would fit. So far (2 weeks lol!) no issues.

I have 305/45/R22 Toyo Open Country AT3‘s on the Limited-style wheels with stock suspension. Even though most tire brands recommend a minimum wheel width of 9.5”, the OEM 9” wheels are fine with this tire size. I’ve been running mine since late August at 38 psi and I’ve had zero issues with them so far. Plus, I think the ride quality improved due to the extra sidewall height of the 305 vs 285.

Been running my NTs at 42psi. Now I feel like that's too much?

When I bought my Toyos from Discount Tire they filled them to 39 psi but I dropped the pressure to 38 psi for slightly better ride comfort. The general consensus I’ve come across has been between 38-42 psi for 305/45/R22 tires, so YMMV. As long as your tires are wearing evenly you should be good.

this is good info. i will be installing my Michelin 305/45/22 tires on my stock Laramie 22's soon. I run the stock tires at 36F and 33R cold and find it to ride perfect and not harsh. Looks like I'll be running close to that with the new tires.

I’ve been running mine at 40 and have been pleased. May try them down at 38 or so just to see if I notice an improvement.

So with 305/45s the wheels are more flush with the fender flares? My 285/45 seem to be tucked in like I need spacers, but I don't feel like doing all that, but I'm also wondering if with 305/45s if I will have rubbing since mine is lowered...

Yes, 305/45/R22 tires will stick out 0.5” further on both sides of the wheel than the stock 285/45R22 tires. My current setup is the factory coil over suspension and I have had zero clearance issues in the 7,000 miles I’ve had these tires installed.

New tires will not change where the wheel sits.

How far do they stick out, did you have to adjust sped, and do you like the ride?
They don't stick out. They are about an inch inside the top of the wheel well. The bottom is perfect.

I did not adjust the speedometer because I was lazy, but it isn't significant anyway.

The ride is great. Better than the OEM in my opinion. Way stickier and planted too. Cornering feels more solid. Just need the Hellwig to make it better.

Awesome. I want to stick with a more sport look than an AT look and these Nittos seem to be the best option. If you get bored and get a chance to put a couple front and rear shots on here that’d be appreciated. A lot of people complain about noise. What’s your thought? Thanks man

Absolutely zero road noise complaints. They're quiet and comfy.

Only thing I've had issue is rubbing at full lock. It rubs on the front plastic liner. Just warmed it up and bent it out of the way though. Easy fix.

Look great. I think that’s what I’ll throw on my stock 22’s.
