I finally installed a light bar hidden behind the mesh above the skid plate of my Rebel and some LED pods that go mounted on the hood hinges and run up by the A pillar.

I bought some off Amazon just to test waters. Wasn't sure if I was going to like hood pods but I like it a lot! Now doing some research for better pods. Maybe Baja design XL Pro

kinda scary how close that light pod bolt is from touching the hood. I'm on the fence on putting them on my truck. I have the KC mini pod, i just need to buy the mount.

Yea I hate the hardware too but I had no time as I had a 12 hour trip the following day lol got around 15.5 mpg total for 1700 miles. I'm considering getting spots now rather than floods.

I had those same brackets on my 2500. They are a little pricey, but they are good quality and you can adjust them to where they leave a little gap between the hood. If you're wanting pods on the hood those brackets are the way to go.

Here's a video on the ones for the 2500 which are basically the same, just a little different bend.

I was looking into getting the cubes for my rebel and was curious if the pods came with a rock guard/light cover. trying to avoid the ticket here in CA.

I am wondering if there is a way these could be mounted on the arms of the mirrors. Seems like there is a whole lotta real estate there that I could tap into. Getting power to them might be a little trickier, and it is possible that it cant be done with the power folding and heat and whatever else is in there, but i think it sounds good in my head...
