Greetings guys!
I have a 2023 Wrangler with the 3.6 and want 300k miles out of it. Jeep folks seem skeptical about 300k miles, but most folks on this Ram forum seem very confident and positive about the Pentastar. How do you guys achieve high miles? Chrysler and Dodge minivans are also good in racking up miles on the Pentastar.
I've been using 0-20 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum since day one. Some guidance from you guys will be appreciated. Thanks 👋

I am soon to crest 150,000 on my 2020 Ram 1500 w/3.6l and it has been flawless thus far with just regular basic maintenance. I do plan to do some 150k maintenance soon but have been waiting for cooler weather and time to get it done.

That motor is very reliable. Have 80k on my 2021 Wrangler with no issues at all.

I have 110,000ish miles on my Gladiator (3.6 engine) when i traded it. I towed a LOT with that engine and pushed it pretty hard with a heavy trailer, the engine was basically flawless....just under powered IMO. Some guys on the jeep forums had timing issues and such, but I think that was do to tunes another other mods like the pedal commander then any real mechanical issues. Honestly if the ram version of the 3.6 was available for a test drive i MAY have considered it.

Just posted about my 2019 RAM 3.6 needing two right side total camshaft replacements at 60,000 and then 65,000 miles. Can’t believe it, same side.

Have heard from other family and friends about issues with their 3.6l as well. Quality is not consistent. Everything was covered under my certified preowned warranty. If the warranty didn’t cover this the dealer told me each camshaft job would have been $4k plus $1k for the oil cooler that was replaced during the second camshaft job…

98k on our 2014 Bighorn, towing our 2800# boat around and 7000# RV trailer twice a year.
One oil filter housing and camshaft bolts backing out are the problems I have had.
Other than that, been a great truck and motor!

oil changes every 5k (3k if you tow or use 4x4) plugs every 75-100k. coolant flushed every 100k and you should be set for awhile.

I just traded my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 3.6L P-star and 201,900 on the odometer. Only repair it had was a water pump at 198k. I would have kept it forever except I got a strong itch for a Challenger 392 Hemi.
