295/70/R18 - Anyone Running These?

I have a 2019 Big Horn 4WD Non ORG... leveled with Bilstein 5100s.
Currently running the OEM 275/65/R18 tires & rims and want something bigger.

297/70/R18 or roughly 34" tires seems like a happy medium. Anyone with this setup want to chime in?

I'm looking to do the same thing. I have a Big Horn 2WD leveled with Rough Country coil overs. Looking for something to fill
the wheel wells a bit. Looking at the Nitto Terra Grappler G2. I live in SW Florida, no snow and my truck is my daily driver. I don't
tow anything and don't need an LT tire. Can get these in a 295/70R18 and not have to go to a 10 ply.

Anyone else do this?
I don't want to use spacers and I am concerned about rubbing.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would like the new Toyo’s but like all other tires they are Load F, 12 ply in the 295/70/18 size. It seems odd that no one has a just a 10 ply in this size but Nitto offers an XL rated. The biggest 10 ply I can find is the ridge grappler 285/70/18. 34 X 11.5. The XL Nitto is nice at only 51 lbs a tire. Just not sure sure how sturdy they’d be towing my Travel trailer. My last 33’s were XL rated and they did well if had them at 42 lbs. These 295’s are a bit bigger though.

My tires are the Nitto G2’s, they are the LT’s, wish I could run a P metric tire but the Rebel comes with LT’s stock and a P metric tire would set off the TPMS system under 46 psi.

Oh dang! Never thought of running into that. I wander if the dealer can reprogram it. My truck comes in some time in the next week. It has the off road package. So I’m not sure what the factory wild peaks run at.

Dealer cannot change TPMS settings, a very good friend of mine is a master tech at the RAM dealer and tried with the dealer scanner, no luck. I don’t haul anything heavy and wanted a better riding tire than the heavy LT’s. You would need an aftermarket type tuner.

That sucks. That doesn’t give you much room to air down. An episode of TFL truck I watched today had the super raptor builds on and they only run 35 psi in the rear of those unless towing. These 12 ply tires are that overrated that a super duty runs them that low.

Was it the ridge grappler or the terra grappler? I’ve seen the terra grappler G2 offered with an XL rating in that size. 2700# load capacity. Which is more than the C rated LT’s that came on my truck at 2500#. My factory tires weigh 49 lbs and those XL rated Terra Grapplers only weigh 51 lbs. So it would be nice going up 2 sizes with barely any extra weight but then a less durable tire ... I do like the 285/70/18 grapplers but they are a little heavy. Waiting to order some rims from my brother. Then onto final tire decisions.

I'm also rocking the Cooper Discoverer At3 XLT, but in 295/60R20. They are basically identical in size, but mine are on the stock 20's of my Limited.

You'll be very happy with a 34" tire like I am. If you get a front leveling kit (like I have), it will fill out the wheel wells without any rubbing, even with mud flaps. They are also wider without sticking out past the stock fender flares. It's the perfect size IMO.

Good tip - I am thinking of getting the terra grapplers maybe. How do you like em?

Consider also the Bridestone Dueller AT Revo3. Still an LT tire, but your lightest option by far in that load range, and very favorable reviews from Tire Rack. I plan on these when the DuraTracs are fried. A pound less for a bigger size.

I had Dueler AT Revo3 on my Jeep. Great tires. Quiet and well mannered. Not the most aggressive looking tire, but they did perform well.

Went from stock 20’s at 10.8 to 11.6 wide. Contemplating switching to 285/75R18 at 11.2 wide. Do we think that .4 would prevent rubbing?
