285 width WAY more $$ than 275

So I just priced out 285/60/R20 and 275/60/R20 to replace the stock rubber on my 19’ Laramie. Why are the 285s SO much more expensive than the 275s?? I priced the KO2s and Duratracs... both were almost $600 more for the 285s. Hardly seem worth it for less than an 1/2” of width....

Looks like the big step up in cost is because its going from a D rated to an E rated tire.

285/65R20 only 58.00 more per tire vs 275/65R20 @ discount tire and cant be happier with the look.
