Stupid stupid 3.21 gears ... I knew, KNEW not to do it, but I did it anyway here I am a year later (this is almost a personal best with this truck lol).

'20 1500 BigHorn with OEM 18" wheels (and air suspension) and its time to replace these craptastic tires. I am keeping an eye out for someone selling Rebel 18" wheels/tires as they seem to go for about 1500 or so, which is about what I'd be paying in tires anyway.

So it's not a big jump by any means to a 275/70/18, but 3.21 gear sucks so bad right now is it a mistake to go to a bigger tire, even if it's a fairly small jump? I feel like I'm driving a freaking dump truck most of the time as it is.

You should be fine. My son has this combo and his is slightly faster than mine because he's pulling gears longer than mine in torque management shifting. Trailering is less than mine, but still... For the record, there are probably 2 tires that are "C" range in that size, which sucks power and fuel also. Go with 20's if you can, all the full size SUV's use that size in "C" range tires galore. 275/60/20

A dump truck? with small *** stock tires? I don't know man, I have the opposite experience. I have 35's that are 76lbs each with a lift and I have 3.21's and I'm perfectly happy with the performance. A 275/70r18 is nothing. I guess you are NON-etorque?

Correct - non etorque. I have just stock OEM 18" with 265/65/18 which I think is pretty much equal to a 31"?

Thank you for the tip about the 20" wheel as an alternate path.

I went up one size from the stock 275/65/18 to 275/70/18. (stock ram 1500) Looks better, not much difference in gas mileage, did reprogram speedo as it was off by 2 MPH.

If your having issues with 3.21’s and that tire set up there’s obviously something else going on. Power to the wheels shouldn’t even be an issue. I’m running mid 6’s 0-60 with the same set up with A/T tires even.

Are you in SoCal by any chance? I have a set of Rebel wheels and tires I took off my Rebel. They have only 8400 miles on them

I'm in NorCal :( ... and think I'm going to move to 20" wheel with more variety in tires - staying away from LT as I don't need that heavy of a tire. You'll certainly have no problem selling your set though!
