275/60R20 on 20x10's

Anyone running this setup? Is that size tire too narrow for a 10" wide wheel?

275 can be a pain to stretch to a 9" wheel with some tires.

I would definitely go wider tire if you get 10" wide wheels.

Would a 285 55r20 be wide enough?

Most 275 wide tires say they can be mounted on up to a 9.5" wheel.

Many 285s say they can be mounted on up to a 10" wide wheel.

So you should be ok with 285s.

You could probably get a 275 on those wheels too but that's up to your tire shop if they will mount them. Some just go off the tire spec on whether they'll do it or not.

Personally I find it can be a hassle to get some 275s to stretch on a 9" wheel. 285s on a 10" is even more work. But it really depends on how stiff the tire construction is.
