Ok. So I own a 20 ED Rebel and she’s awesome…typical diesel issues and recalls along the way. My dealer is offering me quite a deal on a new 25 Reb with most options checked. Anyone here jump from a 19-21 model year to a 25 and if so was it worth it? Looking for opinions on the 25 build quality / engine and any issues. I saw rhe post on the headlights and missing animation for level 2 packages…

Cheers and thanks.

Nope! Dont get me wrong, I love my truck. I always wanted a hydro blue Rebel from the first day I saw it. But with the Hurricane engine getting worse gas mileage than the Hemi, my 2013 550 horsepower Challenger SRT gets 20 mpg combined. The best I've gotten with my Rebel is 17mpg driving nothing but highway with 93 octane in the tank. Plus the fact that it literally has no sound at all while driving and it sounds like a vacuum cleaner everytime I start it. Throw in the fact that still 90% of the time every morning I start the truck for the first time that day, the song I left off at the night before on my flash drive on the radio is back to song #1 again and I have to try to remember what was the last song that was playing the night before, it gets to be really annoying and a big hassle to do this every single day. I lease my vehicles and I'm in a new one every 3 years. My last was a Grand Cherokee Overland. Loved the truck, HATED the redesign of it and I still do but I needed another vehicle when my lease was up. If I would've known that the Hemi was coming back to the Ram in 2026, I would've just leased another Overland for 3 years and then leased the Ram with the Hemi when that lease was up. I also cant help but think that when other people in Hemi Ram's see me driving my twin turbo V-6, their thinking or saying to themselves, "oh look at that pu**y driving a V-6 instead of a Hemi." But other than that, I DO love my truck! I've had no issue's at all except for the issue's with the radio and the memory. I've tried every setting and looked at the owner's manual online. Nothing is stated on what the cause may be. I'm bringing it in to the dealership in a few weeks for the recall and will be letting them know about the radio memory issue.

Went from a 22 Rebel to a 25. I don’t regret it at all and don’t miss the hemi. For me highway fuel milage is the same, in town hurricane does a bit better. Trailer towing is not even close, hurricane pulls with ease and a LOT less down shifting. Towing milage, both hemi and hurricane suck equally. Love the new larger screen and being a Rebel X model I really like the interior and having a console shifter again.
